The Finance Department is part of the administrative branch of Mower County government and interacts with other county departments, residents, vendors, local governments, state and federal agencies, school districts, and special districts. The department issues payment for county obligations, manages debt, manages cash, calculates property tax, distributes property tax collections, and prepares monthly reports and the annual financial statement. This department is also responsible for the annual Capital Improvement Plan as well as the annual budget.
