Mower County is seeking applicants for a Manager of the Auditor/Treasurer Department.   Minimum job qualifications are graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with three (3) years of related  experience.

This position is responsible to manage the staff and functions that occur within the department of the Auditor/Treasurer. Areas of responsibility include carrying out the statutory duties of the County Auditor/Treasurer and managing County funds and records in accordance with State and County policies and objectives. This position is responsible for the calculation and generation of tax statements. This position will collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity in the flow of information needed throughout the County. This position is responsible to maintain the confidentiality of the data which gets processed in the department.  

Annual gross starting salary range for this position is $56,069.31 – $77,376.21 depending on qualifications.  Benefit package includes PTO, health, life, disability and PERA retirement benefits.

This position protects and promotes the health of Mower County citizens through the delivery of education and health services. Duties include, coordinating the care of individuals eligible for public health services; conducting public clinics to treat, screen, and prevent health concerns; investigating community health threats; preparing for public health emergencies; establishing contacts with local service providers; and educating community groups, schools, and the public on a variety of health topics.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines/statutes for public health is required upon entry. Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a current Registered Nurse licensure and Public Health nurse certification.
